Bio

John Moss was born in Vicenza, Italy, and he holds dual US and Italian citizenships. John has lived in Italy and Germany, as well as Louisiana, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Massachusetts in the US. John is married to Nicole, who is a social worker, and they currently reside on Roosevelt Island in New York City.

Early Career

John Moss started his career in the advertising industry, where he learned the importance and impact of clear, concise copy and imagery to promote and brand products and services. During his work in the creative field, John became more involved in the strategic and management aspects of the businesses, and his managers supported him as he undertook higher-level roles and responsibilities. John also embraced technology and taught himself tools, applications and disciplines, such as Quark, Photoshop, Dreamweaver/HTML, SEO, SEM, Social Media and others to stay abreast and ahead of emerging trends and best practices. Due to his business, creative and technical acumen, John was able to manage a diverse cross-section of marketing, advertising, technology and creative professionals to realize their clients’ goals.

Current Position/Projects

Currently, John Moss is a brand manager at International Securities Exchange (ISE), a leading options exchange, where his responsibilities include the management of ise.com, as well as the branding and marketing of ISE’s market data business and communications involving some of ISE’s technology projects. John manages creative resources and acts as the point person for all technology-related marketing and branding.

John also serves on the board of Midtown Pregnancy Support Center (MPSC), a not-for-profit Christian organization serving women and couples in need.

John maintains a website, www.johnmossmarketing.com, where he reflects on marketing and branding trends, and comments on real-world applications of marketing principles. He also provides his marketing and branding expertise to small, medium and large organizations, as well as individuals looking to increase the effectiveness of their marketing efforts.
